Style Mondays: Dark Summer

Pretty Connected Style Mondays Buddah Girl Jewelry styled by Tiffany Pinero

Going back to black is a perfect curve ball to throw at your summer wardrobe (especially as we start to transition to fall). While brights and vibrant prints are always a staple for the season, there is an overwhelming presence of cool associated with a dark and daring ensemble. A maxi dress you’ve worn dozens of times over can be transformed with a different shoe choice and some bold accessories. I recently discovered BuDhaGirl, their wrap bracelets and necklace (even wore backwards) complete the look. Unleash your inner

Lara Eurdolian, Rag and Bone

True, rising temperatures don’t always seem to be the ideal situation for a little bit of leather. Sometimes though, in the midst of needing a popsicle and maxi dresses galore,  we get a gem of a day and you can sport this bad to the bone texture. A pair of slick shorts can add some street to the simplest of outfits and lets  be real it doesn’t hurt when it comes from Rag & Bone either.

Stella & Dot Fall Collection

Earlier this week, I peaked the new fall collection for Stella & Dot and it’s totally glam! SO many fun statement pieces and a perfect mix of delicate everyday necklaces and big, bold, compliment-worthy items.

First off, here are my favorites: layering necklaces (especially the thin arrow “On The Mark” one, which previously was only available in gold and now comes in silver), the large woven “Tempest Necklace” that combines a steel chain, brass cupchain, distressed black acrylic stones and silk ribbon! The complementary bracelets in similar form (although I wouldn’t wear the two together — it’s a little too matchy matchy unless you’re wearing a very simple, preferably strapless dress). And the the rock-glam “Lillith Fringe” dangly earrings are high on my list!

Stella & Dot Spring Collection

EXTRA's Maria Menounos in Stella & Dot Sierra Necklace (Retail, $148)

Back in January, I got a preview of Stella & Dot’s spring collection, and now that spring has sprung, I’m excited to share the collection with you!

It’s a mixed range of styles spanning from delicate pieces to bold, statement ones. And the color ranges from ocean-hued jewel shades to silver and gold pieces that will carry you through the season and beyond.

Much like the Avon selling system, Stella & Dot creates entrepreneurial opportunities for women to sign up as reps. The collection is available exclusively through in-home Trunk Shows by these Independent Stylists and on their website, StellaDot.com.

{Love these delicate necklaces that can be layered. Especially the arrow one!}

{Did I mention they also have handbags?}
