Weekend Getaway: Woodstock Way Hotel + Woodstock Guide

If you’re looking to get out of the city for a weekend (or for life), Woodstock could not be a better destination. Cute town, fresh air, top notch restaurants, spa and if you’re looking for the most epic, pet-friendly, prime location Woodstock place to stay, I can’t recommend Woodstock Way Hotel enough.

Located in the heart of Woodstock, Woodstock Way is steps from the town center (like literally 10 steps), next to a waterfall — I mean how is that even possible? The hotel features 12 rooms divided along the property with a chic interior and the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. It’s paradise, especially since they have a full coffee bar in the lobby, and like really legit, good coffee, and cappuccino’s (you know I’m picky). The decor… I mean I had a tub in my living room, and also a balcony to over look the waterfall. I didn’t want to leave.

The location doesn’t get more prime, the staff is so friendly, we loved the owners, and the stay could not have been more comfortable. The had the fire pit going at night, and Charlie (my pomeranian), made himself right at home and was so welcomed.

While in Woodstock, we had lunch at Oriole 9, delicious, healthy eats, also great for breakfast and located on the main drag. Dinner at Cucina, a stunning, romantic, Italian restaurant that lives in a restores farmhouse a mile or so up the road. Relax at Glo Spa, for facials, a massage, it’s amazing. Also on the main drag with all the shops is Euphoria Yoga if you need to stretch out. When you’re done with the town, drive to the town of Kingston for some very cool antique shops. Woodstock Way Hotel can also help with planning your itinerary, they have some great links on the site on what to do: https://www.woodstockway.com/woodstock-way-of-life/

Peru Hotel Review: Tambo Del Inka, Urabamba Peru

tambo del inka hotel urubamba peruAfter our arrival to the Sacred Valley of Peru, we headed straight to Urubamba to acclimate at the famed Tambo Del Inka hotel. This award winning resort that’s included in the Libertador, Starwoods, and Luxury Collection Hotel portfolios is conveniently located halfway between Cusco and Machu Picchu.

Spending your first night in a luxury hotel when entering this high altitude region is a godsend. This was the perfect place to acclimate, even with our precautionary prescriptions, we were starting to feel heavy and short of breath in the high altitude.

Inside the Loews Hollywood Hotel

After the joyful insanity that was Coachella, James, Patricia Field and I headed to LA for a few days before returning to New York. Usually, I stay in Santa Monica but Pat had some meetings in Hollywood so we landed at the Loews Hollywood. The location could not be more central or smack in the middle of Hollywood — I’m talking steps from the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Dolby Theatre (where the Oscars take place!).

Your Perfect Stay: Alamanda at Palm Cove

palmcove alamanda resortDuring our trip to Australia we went from Brisbane to Cairns, which is like going from the bottom of the Great Barrier Reef, to the top. Besides visiting some of the islands off the city of Cairns to snorkel the reef, we want to explore some of the neighboring towns of the city.  One of our favorite stops was Palm Cove, only 20minutes north out of the city.  Easily one of our North Queensland destinations, we stayed at the Alamanda, where we greeted by the friendly staff and the beautiful grounds of the estate. Situated on the beachfront, its numerous swimming pools and luxurious surroundings didn’t make us feel at home, it made us feel as though we were royalty. (You can read more about Palm Cove and what to do if you visit Cairns on our previous guide post HERE.)

On Friday night, citizenM Hotel opened it’s doors and hotel rooms to over 100 bloggers and editors for one hell of an opening night. It was actually pretty epic. While the hotel doesn’t officially open until Thursday, guests had the opportunity to be the first ever to try the restaurant, stay in the rooms and blow up the open bar.
