Nine West has really stepped up their game! I recently hit up their new Nine West Vintage America store in SoHo for a shopping event hosted by Kate Ciepluch and Gilt City. Unlike other Nine West stores, this location exclusively carries the Vintage America Collection, a line of shoes and accessories consisting of exactly what you’d expect from it’s name — tribal prints, cowboy boots, distressed leathers… and Kate’s Kartel! That’s right, our host for the evening, Kate Ciepluch (former fashion director of Shopbop) collaborated with Nine West to create a collection based on her findings from a cross country trip she took with the brand. Her findings helped inspire not just her collection but the overall aesthetic for the whole line. I chatted up the lovely fashionista for some time, as she took me on a tour of her findings.
