Fashion 2.0 Awards: And the winner is…

Last night the social-ably savvy fashion community joined the Style Coalition at the SVA Theatre in NYC for the 4th Annual Fashion 2.0 Awards. Hosted by Robert Verdi with Simon Doonan, Creative Ambassador at Large, Barneys New York as the Keynote Speaker. It was so great to be apart of such a fabulous evening that celebrates the most innovative brands in social media and had so many of my amazing blogger friends as presenters! All the ladies (and gentleman — now Style Coalition is open to menswear bloggers) looked dazzling in gowns from Rent the Runway, that sponsored their wardrobe. Their founders Jennifer Hyman and Jenny Fleiss were also presented with the Fashion 2.0 Visionary Award in acknowledgement of their achievements in disrupting the retail industry and democratizing luxury fashion. And the winner is…

Style Coalition Fashion 2.0 Awards Announced

Last night the Style Coalition Fashion 2.0 Awards brought together the top social media influencers to recognize and honor the most innovative fashion brands in the online community. Attendees gathered at the SVA Theatre in New York City to announce the winners and celebrate the new fashion frontier. Hosted by Robert Verdi, with a keynote address by Norma Kamali the night was a splendid celebration of inspirational achievements.

Once again the big winner was New York-based fashion label DKNY, taking home awards for Best Twitter and Best Blog by a Fashion Brand, both of which are run by Donna Karan International SVP of Global Communications, Aliza Licht.

Winners were determined entirely by public vote, following an open nomination round. Other winners included Bergdorf Goodman picking up Best Facebook beating tough competition from Burberry, Dior, Gucci and Oscar de la Renta. Best Website was awarded to Marc Jacobs; Tiffany & Co. took home the award for Best Mobile App for its engagement
