Naturalizer has a LARA shoe!!! (See what else they have)

Naturalizer Lara Shoe

It’s true! So while in St. Louis, the lovely people at Alive Magazine took us to the Naturalizer shoe store in the Galleria mall, where we met with the brand representatives and learned about the three lines carried in the store, BZEES, NAYA and of course Naturalizer. And we got to pick a pair! Go figure the ones I end up with are named LARA ($99, on sale for $69.99)… I like to think it was named after me or at the very least we were meant to be!

Rockport Total Motion Collection Wants to Take You to Miami

Rockport Total Motion shoes

Rockport’s on a mission — one that I had to try to believe! Having recently launched their #PoweredbyHeels campaign they are out to prove that you don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort — especially when it comes to our heels!

It’s no secret women feel more confident and empowered in a pair of pumps (not to mention how much skinnier they make our legs look and elongate us to a more statuesque status). But anyone that’s seen my feet post-fashion week know, they are not a full time reality for this girl (and many of you can relate). And they are completely impractical for most of our everyday actions from grocery shopping to walking the dog — and for you with kids, I don’t know how you do it! So for me, heels are for a 2-4 hour window, mainly events or big meetings and then back to flats. I’m far from petite at 5’9″ so anything longer is just asking for it! Until now.

Rockport’s new Total Motion collection is designed in Italy and offers women a stylish shoes with comfort technology and the dependability you would expect from your favorite, most technologically advanced pair of running shoes. Sound’s crazy, right? I thought so too until I put my feet in their Desert Boot — and it was like heaven. The cushioning and warmth is insane! There is no other high heel that compares, I could live in these. I wish all heels would develop this technology since it’s beyond!

Rockport challenged me to do my everyday tasks I don’t generally do, and last night I took them for a test drive grocery shopping and today I took my neighbor’s doggie, Ellie for a walk. We toured LIC like champs, stopping for coffee and spending the AM outside.

My SORELstyle: Joan of Arctic Boots

IMG_2849.JPG

I cannot tell you how long I’ve wanted a pair of the iconic SOREL Joan of Arctic boots! Especially after last year’s polar vortex – I prefer not to go another winter without them.

With some of you packing up for college and taking all of your essentials through the holiday, this is a great transitional boot from fall to winter. It transforms from a rain boot to full on winter warrior boot with an inner layer that actually snaps in (or out) depending on the weather and how insulated you’d like them to be. With the padding in, it’s super warm and the boot itself is completely waterproof with an outsole of vulcanized rubber that’s bound to the upper portion of the boot, which is comprised of waterproof suede leather; so come rain, sleet or full on snowstorm, they have you covered.

Since I’m all about layering and oversized everything, my SORELstyle is to go casual cool with a big jacket and a pair of skinny jeans (so I have some shape to me). Just add a scarf and I’m ready for whatever extreme temperatures that are coming our way.

What’s your SORELstyle? Share your back to campus look using the hashtag #SORELstyleContest on Instagram or Twitter for your chance to win a trip to New York for teenVOGUE’s Fashion University, or one of ten $250 shopping sprees and SOREL boots.

Style Mondays: Chooka Rain Duck Rain Skimmer Shoes

IMG_0797As much as I’m all about channeling my inner Paddington Bear as soon as it’s raining out, carrying on in large rubber boots all day is sometimes a challenge; especially if I have an end of the evening event to dash off too. Having a pair of rain shoes as apposed to only boots is a definite necessity in my wardrobe. And my new Chooka Duck Rain Skimmer ($65) definitely fit the bill.

Style Mondays: Wedge Sneakers

Puma Sky Wedge Reptile Women's SneakersSo it’s been a minute since I’ve done a style Monday! My life has been so cray lately, but all good things that I’m excited to share with you in the coming weeks. I’ve been on the hunt for some wedge sneakers since their big craze over the past year. However, it wasn’t until I picked up this stylish pair of Puma Sky Wedge Reptile Sneaker’s did I find the ones for me. The mix of black suede and leather with a gloss animal print graphics on the sides. They are so comfortable and support my weight even with a 3″ heel.

Spring ’14 Runway Trends You Can Wear Now

The tease of New York Fashion Week is the fact that you are feasting your eyes on styles that are approximately six months from rubbing elbows with your wardrobe. You actually have to experience the opposite season, in the meantime. {watching spring shows during fall and vice versa, cruel if you ask me} True, we still have to wait for the collections to hit stores but the inspiration? It’s ours for the taking. For a culture that is used to instant gratification, here are  three Spring ’14 trends you can work right now:

With the holidays approaching like a freight train, high shine will be on everyone’s mind. Look for key pieces that you can carry over to spring like pants that put on the glitz and a jacket that will give decorative tinsel a run for it’s money.

Style Mondays: My favorite fall fashion week trend…

This week, I’m posting fall previews to to kick off #STYLEMONDAY, I thought I’d show off one of my favorite fall fashion trends!

Lara Eurdolian

From Donna Karen to BCBG to Karen Walker one of the biggest trend to hit the catwalk for the Fall/Winter 2013 shows was knit hats! And not just as part of your puffy jacket or cold day fashion; as in literally paired with anything your dress pants to cocktail dresses. I for one am obsessed with big beanies — and actually rarely leave home without one in the fall and winter months since I’m ALWAYS cold. However,

Style Monday: Flammed Out for Icons+Idols

Happy Monday everyone! What a night with the VMA’s being in NYC last night. For this weeks #StyleMonday it seemed only appropriate to post last night/this AM’s outfit live from the red carpet of In Touch Weekly’s Icons and Idols VMA after party. I had the privilege of partnering with COVERGIRL as their red carpet corespondent for the event — celebrity interview highlights coming up soon, but first, the outfit, the hair, and of course the makeup (and nails!).

It’s the VMA’s so I was channeling my inner glam rocker (hence the hair), but instead of the conventional black on black, I went with more of a feminine white on white. From the moment I saw this Leila Shams beaded skirt
