For Alice and Olivia’s spring/summer 2016 presentation it was all about the statement eye! CEO Stacey Bendet partnered with Stila for a look that kept the face and lips natural while creating a beautiful encrusted gold statement eye. The models skin was prepped with products from Skin Inc to keep the complexion dewey and natural. Since pretty, dessert skin was such a focus on this look the models were prepped with Skin Inc’s Pure Revival Peel, nourishes with a customized serum (which is what Skin Inc is all about – you can mix and match ingredients based on your skincare goals). The skincare was then sealed in with the Pure Deepsea Hydrating Mask (including under the eyes). And for the under eyes they then applied the Vitamin A Serum on top.
NYFW: Erin Fetherston Spring/Summer 2016 Collection
As expected Erin Fetherston’s collection was soft and feminine filled with romantic florals and ethereal dresses. Long slip dresses of blues, florals and with (mixed with a few red dresses), some topped with caplets or sheer prints, floated down the runway. Other dresses harken back to Edwardian times with high necklines. Each model walked across the runway on a cloud offemininity. However there was an unexpected twist to this year’s collection. Mixed among the feminine dresses were playful pieces of denim. Keeping with Fetherston’s esthetic the denim was soft and femine. The easy fitting overalls shorts and culottes were a welcome addition to her normally fanciful clothing.
NYFW: Malan Breton F/W 2015
Malan Breton’s diverse collection was a blend of ‘70s androgyny, badass biker, and ladylike elegance with a touch of steam punk.
NYFW: Rebecca Minkoff F/W 2015 Backstage Report
Whatever the edgy, rocker beauty moment that was happening backstage at Rebecca Minkoff I’m completely so into it! From the textured bangs created by Orlando Pita for Tresemme, and intensely hot blacked out, “wide eye wanderlust” eyes by Sarah Lucero for Stila Cosmetics to the edgy negative space chevron manicure by Michelle Saunders for Essie. The entire look was edgy and cool and yet still very natural when it went down the runway.
NYFW: Saunder F/W 2015 Collection
For the SAUNDER F/W15 collection the designer pays tribute to Henry VII and once again collaborated with accessories designer, Megan Isaacs. Together they brought Tudor themes into contemporary fashion designs. Saunder’s collection mixed feminine and masculine silhouettes and utilized traditional fabrics of tweed and tartan to create romantic looks and tailored jackets and pants. The collection made an abundant use of textures (a big trend were seeing for the season). The accessories encompassed pearls along side studs in gold, silver and gunmetal. The Anglo period was represented throughout the collection in a very modern way. And because we know you can’t stop starring at the makeup the look was created by Mehron Makeup (you can read all about it on their BLOG).

NYFW Backstage Beauty: Get the Christian Louboutin Manicure at Cushine et Ochs F/W 2015
Who’s says “squares are bores?” Certainly, no one starring at the nails at Cushine et Ochs fall/winter show. The look, which was created by Madeline Poole, for Christian Louboutin Beauté was inspired by the colors used throughout the line and to complement the collection with geometrical precision nail art. “I had an intuition we would be using a small square motif,” said Poole. “Michelle and Carly had the clever idea to paint the square appliqués in nail colours that matched the collection.”
NYFW: Laurel DeWitt F/W 2015 Collection
Cleopatra met knights in chain mail in Laurel DeWitt’s stunning F/W ’15 runway show. Lanky models strutted down the runway wearing the exquisite metal creations DeWitt is known for.
Holiday Travel Giveaway: Mosaic Photo Book + LeSportsac + Knock Out Nail Polish
It’s been an amazing adventure spending this past month in Australia. And I’m so grateful to have a platform like Instagram where I can share so many of my moments in real time. But nothing tops an album to capture the memories forever.
Today, I’m taken over Mosaic’s instagram page (@MosaicBook) and am sharing some of the highlights from the trip. All of the pictures I’m showing will then be turned into a photo book using the Mosaic’s photo app (available for iPhone and Android and can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play).
I’ve featured Mosaic before but for anyone that’s not familiar, Mosaic is a free app, which lets you create a custom photo album book allowing you to pull images from Facebook, Instagram and shared photo albums for just $25. Best of all, it arrives in 2-4 days and takes minutes to create. And if you order between December 11 – 15th, Mosaic is offering free shipping!
It’s one of my favorite gifts to give, especially with the holidays coming up as there’s no better way to capture all your favorite moments then with a Mosaic photo book.
So in honor of my trip and the joys of holiday travel (preferably to warm, tropical areas), we’re giving away 3 of my favorite travel items: The LeSportsac x Ericson Beamon Clutch, Knock Out nail polish in shade, EEL, and a code for a free Mosaic photo book (and shipping) so you can make your own.
There are 2 ways to enter (each counts as a separate entry):

Front Row at St. Louis Fashion Week
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’ve been in St. Louis for the past week. I flew in for their Fashion Week and to host the after-party and am so beyond inspired and excited by everything coming out of that city. Alive Magazine planned my entire trip and the fashion show itself and they should be so proud of what they created. The sense of community and level of quality and detail rivals new york.
