TJMaxx Haul: My Designers Outfit was under $125 #Maxxinista

Well consider me a bonafide Maxxinista! For my latest haul to TJ Maxx, I scored a Kate Spade sweater, a pair of Alexa Chung for AG jeans and Sam Edelman metallic sandals to a grand total of $123.98 total! *High fiving myself*

Having grown up in Boston, which is also where their headquarters are, I have scored some of my best designer deals at TJ Maxx. In fact they had these gorgeous full length Alice + Olivia skirts for $150 (down from $1000) at their Fresh Pond location that I’m kicking myself for not purchasing when I was in Boston since I’ll be in LA next month for a big Alice + Olivia event.

On Monday I had to be in Westchester to test out a salon and on my way over stopped at DICK’S Sporting Goods in White Plains to stock up on some new workout gear. They carry so many of my favorite brands including Brook’s Running, Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Under Armour… basically every major women’s fitness brand that is both fashionable and functional. Being constantly on the go and the fact that you can’t wear workout clothes twice without washing them has has me hoarding fitness attire. Shopping the aisles, DICK’s has a great assortment of basics and prints and name brands at great prices. Plus the store is massive so there is a ton of women’s apparel and sneakers to pick from.

Pops of Color for Spring with Mywalit

It may be spring but I haven’t fully transitioned my wardrobe yet — probably since it’s been feeling more like fall then spring lately. That’s all about to change. I just booked my flight to LA for April 8th gearing up for Coachella and I am in a complete spring state of mind! I’ve even starting breaking out the bright nail polish colors. I’m so ready to refresh my closet with color, color, and more color and lots of fun prints starting with my new Mywalit Rio Small Zip Top bag.

Spring is the season of color so while I’m not shy when it comes to incorporating bright pieces into my wardrobe, I’m completely lacking in the bag department. If you peaked into my closet, you would think I collect medium to large black bags for sport. Even my current wallet is black, which let me tell you is a miss! Going for a bright wallet (I have my eye on the styles from Mywalit) makes finding it that much easier — especially in your big, black purses.

I’m changing my stripes and all about the colorful bag this season. Going black all the time is some defense mechanism that it’s more functional but that’s just not the case. Yes, I know it’s Easter so go to church, do an egg hunt, spend time with your family… And if that isn’t on the agenda there are two great events happening in NYC.

1. Patricia Field Art / Fashion Gallery exhibition at Howl! Happenings gallery, 6 East 1st Street in NYC from March 25th – 27th

2. New York Auto Show, Javits Centter, NYC from March 25 – April 3

I got a preview of the New York Auto Show for their girls night out event and there are some serious beauties on the blog from every major car brand. Be the first to see the models before they become available.

We mainly toured Toyota, Nissan and Genesis and got the 411 on some new models. For starters I learned that the Toyota Corolla is the #1 best selling car worldwide. For the 50th anniversary of the Corolla they are coming out with a new edition. My family has owned one so we’re part of the statistic. In fact my mom recently gave hers up to get a Toyota Prius which was a hot topic for the brand showing off some new beauties (if you saw my snapchat I was touring the new models).

Nissan refreshed their most popular GT-R series to debut the 2017 supercar edition with performance upgrades and new features (you can learn all about it HERE).

Lastly, Hyundai wowed with their Genesis “New York” Concept, which was the sentiments behind everyone looking at this breathe taking beautiful car. It also happens to be the title of this article where you can read all about this new model. IMG_3173
