Stay Here: Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas

Normally, when James and I travel we’re obsessed with reading everything on Tripadvisor and reaching out to our networks for all the must-do’s so we can try them and report back for our guides. However, with a 36 hour trip to Dallas we were so enamored by all that the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas had to offer, we decided not to leave the property.

Spanning 400 acres, the property is exceptional with an upscale country club feel and amenities that includes their award-winning golf course (they host the AT&T Byron Nelson PGA Tour event!) and driving range. With a mindblowing, world class gym four hotel pools, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, racquetball, squash, two running tracks and daily fitness classes including yoga and pilates it certainly fulfills the needs of any fitness nut.

The spa is not to be missed! Easily one of the best services I’ve ever had, I booked a Thai massage with Gwen. It’s an intensive body work session that involves stretching and pressure points – just the type of physical therapy I needed before taking a flight. They also offer a vast menu of face and body and masssage treatments along with a salon for all your hair, nail and waxing needs.  Hotel guests also enjoy complementary use of the steam room, sauna, and whirlpool. If you skip a treatment, taking some relaxing time at the spa is a must-do.

We stayed in the Verplank Suite in the North Villa building which overlooks the 18th hole of the TPC Four Seasons Las Colinas golf course and lake. Our room residence was 2,100 sq. ft which is bigger then my apt in NYC and featured three balconies, stone fireplace and dining room that seats 14 (which I like to call the board room). The best part, the bathrooms! There’s two. The master bathroom is all marble with a tub you could bathe in for days. The other a mere powder room at the entrance.

Normally, I would say splurge on the room (and in this case it’s definitely warranted), however the property is so exceptional it’s almost a disservice to stay in. From the spa to the indoor and outdoor sporting activities it’s a phenomenal property.

There’s also a number of restaurants and dining options on the property. We had breakfast at the Cafe on the Green which was excellent as was the cappuccino as picturesque as delicious. I like that they have the Four Seasons logo down pat.

Located less then 15 minutes from the airport, I can’t imagine a better way to relax and unwind pre or post flight. It’s a world of it’s own right in Dallas that even if I lived locally, is a perfect staycation or one I highly recommend for a spa visit.
