Coachella, Coachella, Coachella! After months of planning we’re mere days away! This week it’s been all about the packing experience, which believe me has not been easy! I envy everyone that lives in LA and can drive their wardrobes to Palm Springs. It’s borderline embarrassing to roll up in an over-sized suitcase, plus carry-on luggage (especially since normally I’m a light packer and never check bags), but what can be done, it’s on this season!

When packing I like to mix my personal style into the classic music festival trends which is all about fringe, tribal prints, high-waisted shorts, kimonos and generally anything that can be classified as boho. It’s a great time to incorporate vintage pieces and accessories play a huge role. The thing everyone forgets is you’re on your feet all day so comfort is key, which is why I generally pack flats and comfortable wedges. It’s also great to have a pair of converse or booties since it does get chilly at night. Plus the whole athleisure trend (think sneakers with skirts) taking looks from the pool house to street style — ahem Coachella style, you’re going to want a pair (just wait until you see the patterned Converse I packed, I found them in the DSW sale section for $35!). DSW is amazing place to shop for shoes since they have an extensive assortment of designer and contemporary brands at discounted prices. All of the shoes I picked were under $50! And every possible music festival style is there. From Converse and printed wedges to gladiator flats, laser-cut sandals and booties, it’s incredibly convenient for a one stop shop — plus their sale section always sucks me (they have the best deals!).

Above is a taste at some of the looks I put together. All of the shoes are from DSW and I’ll be unveiling more outfits and shoe picks as the week goes on. Be sure to follow my adventures on Instagram @prettyconnected, and let me know what you think! xxLara
