Recently, bourbon has come to the forefront of the spirits world, becoming so popular that some distillers have started running low on their golden brew. While I have been a fan of scotch for some time, I do love the simplicity and american stance that many bourbons provide. And with Father’s Day around the corner, here are a few of our favorites:
Knob Creek 9 year single barrel: This small batch bourbon is bold with strong hints of oak and spice, with a balanced 100 proof kick.
Knob Creek Smoked Maple: Just as you would imagine, it has subtle maple flavors with a smoky character. Oddly enough, I want to sip on it while eating breakfast.
Basil Hayden 8 year: Lighter bodied rye with citrus tones and a smooth, dry finish. If you haven’t tried this one, it is a must.
Bakers: Grain, oak and slightly sweet, slightly spicy with a nice warmth and a smooth heat to finish. Great for sipping.
