This is one of those posts that I hope my boyfriend doesn’t read (I’ll second that with my mother while I’m at it). The annual Gilt City NY Warehouse Sale went down this weekend in NYC at The Altman Building. The rather festive event features Gilt’s top designer brands — from men’s and women’s fashion to home accessories, kids’ goods at up to 90% off the retail price. I spent $1,045 on 9 items which retailed for $3,409 originally, putting me at about a 70% off savings.
I have the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at the end of the month so my goal was to find a dress. I found a yellow Alice and Olivia dress which I’m 50/50 on but bought it anyways as a backup. The sequin Dolce&Gabbana leggings was the highlight of the night. I’m obsessed and if I walked out with only one item, it would be them. I completely splurged on the Alice and Olivia gown (it’s the finale dress featured below). I have no idea when I’ll be invited to anything fancy enough to warrant wearing it (ahem Anna Wintour, this would be a great time to consider me for next years Met Gala), but it was so beautiful, I splurged.
