One of Europe’s top selling cosmetics brands, Essence Cosmetics is making a splash in the US! And not just with their beauty products, but also as the official make-up partner of the Justin Bieber Believe Tour 2013! On Thursday, June 6th from 7pm – 8pm EST join me (@prettyconnected) along with Essence for a twitter chat. During the hour we’re giving away an all-inclusive trip for two to Los Angeles for 3 days/2 nights, 2 concert tickets and 1 meet and greet with Justin himself! Additionally every 10minutes we’re giving away a Limited Edition concert bag, poster, and essence makeup samples. So be sure to tune in and follow @Essence_US and tweet with us using the hashtag #essenceJB to automatically be entered.
Founded in 2001, Essence Cosmetics has an extensive color range priced under $5! And they don’t test on animals. Investment pieces at impulse prices, it’s a great line for anyone looking to add some color into their makeup bag and experiment with on-trend products ranging from nails (complete with a nail art range), eyes, lips, cheeks and beyond. Which is why I’m so excited to be hosting this tweet-up and have the opportunity to answer your questions and talk makeup and music with all of you!
{Peek the line!}
At the moment their eye shadow palette, Sun Club Glamour-To-Go Eyeshadow in South Beach 01 ($4.49) is my favorite. It’s a creamy powder, silky texture that goes on so smooth, and blends easily. I love the entire color range of these shadows used (which is rare — usually I only use a few up completely and the rest go untouched).
They have an extensive nail art range. While I loved the concept, I found the Nail Art Stampy Set ($3.99) designs process a little challenging, the Nail Art Decoration Kit ($3.49) sequence was fun to add on to add to my nail look and the stylist tool very handy for making patterns. Also if you’re good with doing nail art with reinforcements, you’ll love the French Manicure Tip Guides ($0.99). The special effect topper glitter top coat is great to smooth out any nail perfections and give a polished finish. The Color & Go Nail Polish ($0.99) blue made a great base (with or without the glitter topper — see below the difference). It’s free of formaldehyde, toluene, and emollient phthalate and comes with a wide brush for easy application. The only thing to be careful of is dispensing too much product at once so wipe on the edge. It didn’t dry quick for me but offered a smooth application and great shine.
They have a wide range of lip products from lip balms ($1.99), frosted to shimmer lipsticks ($1.49), high shine ($2.49) and long-lasting lip glosses ($1.49).
