Hosted at the Jane Hotel, Corey Lynn Calter debuted her namesake Corey Fall 2013 collection. Themed the Smoke and Flowers collection she had an unexpected mix of fabrications and prints that took effortlessly-cool to a whole new level. Just the right mix of fitted with slouchy that gave the clothes a fabulous edge and moment to them. I’m swooning over the Alice cinnamon mohair ombre turtle neck and Trudy tie print blocked pajama pant combo (as seen in the first picture). The jewelry, which greatly complimented the clothes, by Killer Collection also had me in stitches.
Front row and center, cheering the collection on, fashion icon + artist (and one of our hero’s) Ilona Royce Smithkin! At 91, she’s still as fiery and inspiring as ever, looking so chic and sporting her signature faux lashes. Having the opportunity to meet and chat with her will stay with me forever.
