DRESS FOR SUCCESS, the international nonprofit, best know for giving disadvantaged women professional new looks while providing career services to help women take on their job with confidence is getting a makeover in NYC thanks to Bobbi Brown of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and Richard Baker of Hudson’s Bay Company/Lord & Taylor who are spearheading the renovation of the Manhattan boutique.
The Manhattan branch of Dress for Success suits an average of 200-250 women every week. The new space will allow for more than 30 additional women to be served each week in an ambient setting that is befitting for the uplifting life change its clients are preparing to undertake. In addition to improving the boutique’s aesthetic, the renovation will also improve the speed of client service and most importantly, help increase the number of women that are ready to enter New York’s workforce.
Bobbi Brown is known for empowering women by helping them look and feel their best. On a recent visit to the organization’s midtown client boutique, Brown, a board member of Dress for Success Worldwide, decided that it was time for the organization to receive the gift that it gives to more than 650,000 women across the world—a new, more polished look and feel!
Brown contacted Baker, the Governor and CEO of the Hudson’s Bay Company, which operates Lord & Taylor stores throughout the country, who in turn, tapped Lord & Taylor’s in-house design team to spearhead the renovations to the Dress for Success boutique. With unemployment levels at 7.8% in the U.S. and 8.8% in NYC it’s so great to watch this type of support go out to an organization such as Dress for Success.
The new space is now open!!! For more information visit Dress For Success
