If feels like spring has been wavering but earlier this month for just one day in between all the rain the sun came out and it made me so excited to put on my new Viscata espadrilles and a floral romper and visit the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. You could say I really dressed the part from my hair to toe to celebrate all of the beautiful colors around me.

Surrounded in lilacs and cherry blossoms, there was really no better place to spend a beautiful day in NYC then at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. It exudes spring everywhere you look and there’s something so special about being surrounded in florals and the joy it brings to everyone around you walking the gardens.
Espadrilles always remind me of my sister who has lived in Europe for most of her adult life and owns about a million pairs. Viscata espadrilles are all hand made in Spain with artisan crafting based on traditional designs from centuries ago — but with a modern flair of breathable materials, sustainable packaging, and an array of fun colors and styles in both flats and wedges. These are my first pair of open toe espadrille wedges which I’ve been on the hunt for some time. There’s something a little more flirty about them then standard closed toe. Plus a wedge always makes your legs look leaner.
Viscata has also teamed up with Treecyler to plant a tree for every pair of espadrilles purchased so it felt perfectly appropriate to break them in during my visit to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. I’ve been wearing them all month as the weather permits with cut off jeans and maxi dresses and are spring staple that can be easily dressed up or down. I also went with nude (although I have my eyes on the red style!) since it makes it more versatile to match anything.
