The hair by Matrix at Julianna Bass show was an effortless loose, undone ponytail created by their Artistic Director, Daniel Roldan. Inspired by the classic modern day woman with a twist. Unlike many of the undone ponytails we’ve seen on the runway, the focus was less about that cool-girl messy, textured feel and much more refined that still manages to be polished. This girl is effortless and more refined with some strands coming out in the front.
An easy look to take from the runway and re-create at home, here’s how to get the look:
Begin by applying MATRIX StyleLink Volume Builder Volume Mousse on 70-80% dried hair starting at the scalp work it down to mid- length.
Then spray MATRIX StyleLink Turbo Dryer Blow Dry Spray on mid-length and ends and finally apply MATRIX StyleLink Smooth Setter Smoothing Cream to mid-length of the hair.
Next, starting in the nape and work up, Blow-dry with a Cushion Brush giving a lift at the scalp and smoothing the mid-length and ends.
Once hair is completely dry, create an offset parting and randomly flat-iron pieces around the face.
Lastly, pull hair back in a low ponytail and tie with a black elastic.
