There is an impressive amount of launches coming out of Physicians Formula right now. Last month I attended a breakfast with the brand and by far the product most excited about is their new Eye Booster Instant Lash Extension Kit.
I haven’t really been apart of the fiber mascara craze or put much stock in it but after a demo at the breakfast I was amped to try it. It dramatically boosts lashes and makes them incredibly full with all day lasting power. The exclusive hi-tech mascara formula contains the same lash-boosting peptide (myristoyl pentapeptide-17) that’s found in the original Eye Booster™ to enhance natural lash growth while effectively conditioning and nourishing lashes.
The process may sound intimidating but it’s actually very simple, and only takes a few minutes. Just note it’s important to do one eye fully then move on to the other. (Don’t go back and forth between coats).
The Eye Booster Instant Lash Extension Kit ($14.95) includes a Mascara and Extensions wand. Here’s how to apply:
Step 1 – Apply mascara
Step 2 – Shake the extensions wand once you take it out (this gets rid of the loose flakes), then brush-on extensions to the upper lashes while the mascara is still wet to instantly build lashes.
Step 3 – Reapply lash boosting mascara to seal and set extensions. Repeat step 2 & 3.
With so many fun new products to try from Physicians Formula, I created the above look using some of the new Physicians Formula launches.
I started with my eyes, using the black glitter shade from the Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Extreme Shimmer Eyeliner Trio set in my waterline. It’s definitely one of the better glitter eye pencils I’ve used and gives a really pretty black/dusted grey shimmer that’s not too intense or vamp like. This is a great day to night pencil. I then added the darker shade from the Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Extreme Shimmer Gel Cream Shadow & Liner Trio on my eye lid. In all honesty, I found the eyeshadow hard to work with and I had to apply quite a few coats to get the desired pigment. It wasn’t very even and fell between the creases of my eyelid so of all the great new products I tried, this one was a bit of a miss for me. From there I added the Sexy Booster Cat Eye Collection Liquid Eyeliner for a more pronounced black liner along my lash line followed by the Lash Extension Kit.
For there I cleaned off any fall-out from the lash extensions and then applied the BB Cream Argan Wear to my face. I definitely recommend this product for anyone with dry skin or enjoys creamier texture foundations/BB’s. It’s medium coverage and evened out my skin tone beautifully. Infused with 100% Pure Argan Oil to enrich and hydrate skin, it offers an SPF 30. I then went in with the Super BB All-in-1-Beauty Balm Stick for any areas that needed some extra coverage. This is a great touch-up tool to carry with you throughout the day for any quick fixes.
