Last week, we headed to Soho for a sneak smell of Diptyque’s new eau de toilette, Florabellio and journey through the fragrance by way of a photographic exhibition by Terri Weifenbach. An 8-year project in the making, Florabellio was inspired by the olfactive memories of one of Diptyque’s founders, Christiane Gautrot.
Once a faint memory, Gautrot’s travels were turned into an eau de toilette by creative director, Myriam Badault. Giving life to Gautrot’s passion project, Badault was inspired by the visual journey of Terri Weifenbach’s photography. His stories represented a visual journey with different photographic layers alike to the different scent notes in Florabellio.
With wafts of coffee, the ocean breeze, and apple blossoms, Florabellio is an unexpected fragrance that manages to be sweet and soft. Experience it for yourself this April, when the fragrance will be released.
