Yesterday, we kicked off New York Fashion Week with the Dannijo Spring/Summer 2015 Collection. While we’re used to a beautiful glitzy jewel assortment from the two sisters Danielle Snyder and her sister Jodie Snyder, this collection was much more tribal with a native american influence in the decor. The theme was a ‘road trip’ to which I would have guessed they went down to New Mexico or something of the sort. Equally beautiful and creative, this collection showcased heavy silver statement and layering pieces. As well as handbags and shoes, a first for the label. The models had a beautiful bright popping blue eyeshadow or an orange hue created by Yadim for Maybelline (using their Eye Studio Color Tattoo Pure Pigments in Brash Blue and Bad to the Bronze in their respective shades) opposite a ‘road-trip’ redefined fishtail braid by Rodney Cutler for Redken. It was a beautiful journey and inspiring way to start the New York Fashion Week Season.
