If there’s one thing my dry skin and hair loves, it’s Virgin Coconut Oil. My kitchen is never without a jar, which is why when Yes to Carrots announced the launch of their Yes to Coconut line I was all about dropping everything to try it.
Designed for dry to very dry skin (and hair), this collection was created to help smooth and heal dry, cracked skin and even tackle those problematic areas like elbows, and ankles and split ends for hair. Coconut oil is very unique since it can go between being a solid and liquid (and yes, they are using Virgin Coconut Oil to get all the inherent goodness that comes from it as well as Kukui Oil (which I fell in love with when I was in Hawaii) and Argan Oil as well as Shea Butter for added moisture.

So far I’ve tried about half the line. For the body line I’ve tried the Yes to Coconuts Cleansing Wipes, which as someone who loves all of their wipes if you like the smell of coconut oil try this one. It gets all the makeup and dirt off and leaves your skin feeling soft and happy. The Head-to-Toe Restoring Balm is great for anyone with dry elbows, knees, ankles (pretty much dry anything — I use it in my hair too). It’s rich and heavy (in a good way) and this probably the most oily product in the line (again, that’s a good thing), since once you apply it, it absorbs and isn’t greasy afterwards. Plus it’s loaded with Vitamins A, C and E plus the Virgin Coconut Oil to help deeply nourish, hydrate and relieve dry, cracked skin. Another favorite of mine is the Polishing Body Scrub. I get weird bumps on my legs (that are almost like razor burn except not from a razor and they aren’t red) so exfoliating is really important for me to do a few times a week in the shower. Normally coconut oil scrubs separate so the sugar or granulars go to the top and the oil at the bottom, not this one! It’s beautifully blended and feels more like a gel scrub. It smoothes out skin and totally rinses off so that greasiness that Coconut Oil usually leaves isn’t there. The Ultra Light Spray Body Lotion is just that, light. For anyone that doesn’t like or need heavy creams, this is a great choice. It’s in a spray so it isn’t messy. I need heavier creams since I tend to get really dry, so I use this when I’m in a rush and just want a quick boost before running out the door. Otherwise the only other product I’ve used from the body line is the Coconut Cooling Lip Oil, which is awesome! I’t like a minty majorly oily balm that stays perfectly on my lips. You squeeze it on and it doesn’t spill on to your face at all, it just stays put and every time you rub your lips together you can feel the oil just mending any cracks, making lips smooth and pretty. Plus it looks like a lip gloss on.
For the hair line. I don’t have the Ultra Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner but it’s designed for people with dry, damaged hair that have fly aways. I have tried the Curl Defining Hair Smoother and I like it very much. It’s really light so I can use it with my other hair products and just helps control the frizz and smooth out my hair.
