As much as I’m all about channeling my inner Paddington Bear as soon as it’s raining out, carrying on in large rubber boots all day is sometimes a challenge; especially if I have an end of the evening event to dash off too. Having a pair of rain shoes as apposed to only boots is a definite necessity in my wardrobe. And my new Chooka Duck Rain Skimmer ($65) definitely fit the bill.

Not only are they lightweight and fun to wear around, but also make for great commuting shoes. It’s an easy swap out for heels when you need to get a little more glam as the day goes on. Just tuck them away in your purse (don’t forget a plastic bag), and do a quick switch-a-roo before hitting that business lunch or holiday party. It’s a much better alternative then ruining your leather booties. Otherwise, if I’m laying low on a rainy day, I’m all about dressing comfortably as seen above.
