You know the saying, if it’s not broken don’t fix it? Well this has been the year where the beauty world has seemed to throw that saying out the window and challenged their development teams to make their cult favorite products better. We saw it first with Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizer and now with Jurlique’s launch of their Herbal Recover Advanced Serum.
Jurlique is a very near and dear brand to my heart. I played a role in their re-branding and was their US Marketing Manager for over a year. In fact had they not move their offices out of NYC, I may have never left the full-time office job life or start this site or entered the exciting world of consulting.
One of my favorite products from the line, much like most Jurlique fans was their Herbal Recovery Serum. As of last week, the brand relaunched the product, adding the word “Advanced” to the name title, combining 15 potent botanicals with three breakthrough natural ingredients to create a serum rich in antioxidants that help protect, rejuvenate, and enhance skin’s recovery cycle. The powerhouse recovery trio of ingredients includes Persian Silk Tree to strengthen skin cell capacity, Whu-Zhu-Yu to boost microcirculation and smooth skin, and Peach Leaf to recover skin vitality and promote cellular regeneration. Formulated to combat the first signs of aging and deliver healthy, glowing skin and improve skin texture, I’m curious to see if it will top it’s original formula.
Having only tried it briefly at the event (I’m currently on a different skincare regimen so I’m not able to try it quite yet!), I can say it’s very similar in feel and smell (although it’s less fragrant) then the original.
