Style Refresh: Get Ready it’s Spring! {sponsored}

I’ve had anxiety over putting my winter clothes away. Every time I retire a jacket the weather takes a turn for the cold and suddenly it’s back front row and center in my closet. Well today, I’m taking a stand! The weather is finally heating up and I’m headed to the Hamptons for a press trip — so I’m really feeling spring is in the air and it’s time my attire reflect that.

Two looks I’m currently coveting are bright bags and ankle boots (as seen above). Both are an easy upgrade to help transition your wardrobe. A pop of neon to an accessory or handbag (or even shoes) ties the whole spring/summer theme together and adds a nice pop of color.

Ankle boots with a little heel gives that modern day sexy cowgirl look without actually feeling cowgirl at all. Plus the light lift always makes my legs more toned and shaped then in flats, plus it’s an easy boot (pending the color) that can often extend past spring and summer to help transition into fall. A trick I picked up from one of my old bosses is if you opt for a light colored shoe or boot and you scuff it up or get it dirty during the summer months, dye them black or brown in the fall for extended use.

For the long hot days to come, quality hair ties (that won’t add to my breakage and get my hair out of my face), SPF  galore, refreshing toners and wipes all rank high on my list. I do a lot of running around so my bag is always packed with products that keep me refreshed and hydrated throughout the day.

Starbucks NEW bottled Iced Coffee + Milk is also a beverage essential to keep my caffeine levels up and conveniently can be stored in the fridge for anyone on the go. With 2% milk and “lightly sweetened” (although I find it very sweetened) at 11 FL OZ and 110 calories per bottle (unless you get the ‘Low-Calorie’ version which I haven’t tried yet but is 50 calories/bottle). They are also available in Vanilla and Caramel flavors. I’m hoping an unsweetened version comes out soon as I’ll sometimes drink half the bottle as is (or divide it into two different bottles) and then mix in some more Starbucks I freshly brew (fridge it for an hour so it’s cool before mixing and then you’re good to go!).
