When When one of my writers approached me about covering the Color Me Rad 5k race it sent the office in an uproar. Every person that’s ever been affiliated with this site and/or the consulting end of my enterprise wanted to be apart of it. I mean how could they not it’s running with a dash (okay not just a dash, maybe a full topping) of ridiculousness. Which incidentally happens to be what we’re all about… enjoying life and not taking things so seriously that you lose site of having fun. So forget coving it, we’re doing it!
Here’s how it works, you start out clean and pristine and throughout the course of your run, you’ll coat your chaffing thighs with Color Bombs of blue, green, pint, purple, and yellow until your face, shirt, and body come out silk screened like a tie-dyed piece of fabric. Each section of the run adds a new explosion of hues, until you cross the finish line into a final blitzkrieg of color.
It’s a non-competitive atmosphere. (More party than race) and Color Me Rad partners with a charity in each city that benefits from all the fun.
