Food Network Wine & Food Festival hits NYC #NYCWFF

What a great weekend to eat and drink the days away. Aside from the gorgeous weather, the Food Network hosted their annual New York City Wine & Food Festival (which happened 10/11 – 10/14). It is the only festival in New York to bring together both legendary culinary icons from around the globe and America’s most beloved television chefs.

This year marks their fifth anniversary and, once again, 100% of the net proceeds benefit the Food Bank For New York City and Share Our Strength®—to date they have raised over $5 million to help fight hunger!

In the course of 4 days, Wine & Food hosts 120 private events all around the city, including their signature Grand Tasting event which is hosted in a large expo hall (this year it was at Pier 57) and is filled with the greatest chefs, restaurant owners, winemakers, spirits producers and personalities of the food world.

As you enter the Grand Tasting, you receive a wine glass which you then proceed to fill (and refill and refill) while visiting the different winery booths. Additionally, notable NYC restaurants set up shop and put out tastings of some of their favorite and most renowned dishes. It’s the perfect event to go with a small group of foodie friends to celebrate great flavors from all around the city (and part take in some quality day drinking).

{I started and ended the day at the Illy booth making expresso. I wish I owned this machine it was so easy to make!}

{There were so many amazing restaurants at the tasting but Ardesia’s Goat Milk and Ricotta Crostini is at the top of my list}

{If you’re into Sake, MomoKawa’s G Sake, and Organic Junmai Ginjo Sulfate & Gluten Free Sakes are superb}

{Cheers to Titos for making the most amazing and affordable homemade vodka!}

{I love figs and I’m a vodka girl — who know the combination together could be so good?? And that’s coming from someone that’s not into flavored vodka}

{Wine, wine, wine…}

Next year’s NYC Wine & Food festival will take place on October 10-13th. Mark your calendar and be sure to visit to purchase tickets.
