I’m not sure what I was expecting when I walked into a room on one of the top floors of the Standard Hotel, but Katie Gallagher did not fail to impress with her Spring/Summer 2013 presentation. With the almost hypnotic voice of Ella Joyce Buckley singing in the background, enhanced the intensity to the already drama-filled “Everything Forever” collection that stood before me.

Katie’s inspiration for the “Everything Forever” collection is the concept of rebirth, purity, and the things we leave behind as a child. In Katie’s words, “Despite inflictions, the soul can remain pure. However, everything we do is in us forever”. The minimalistic color scheme builds on the idea of purity.
I really enjoyed this presentation and I’m excited to see what direction Katie takes her work in the future!
