Rally to Restore Insanity and/or Fear

Over Halloween weekend, I took the train to Washington, DC for Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert’s  ‘Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear’; which was pure  insanity (in a good way). I don’t think Colbert or Stewart knew their own strength when organizing the rally, so unfortunately there weren’t enough monitors or strong enough audio to really understand what was going on stage.  Even so, it was incredibly inspiring to hear their muffled voices over the load speakers as I walked the packed streets around The Mall with my fellow disgruntled Americans. I was really struck by the range of people of all ages and ethnicities, who traveled from all over the US to be here.  Reading their signs and hearing their stories made my experience.
