Getting lost in Target is easy, between their endless home goods, fashion and beauty eye-candy. Now, leaving the beauty aisle just got even harder with their latest product offerings for both women and men. Pixi by Petra, Sonia Kashuk and the latest launch, Marlowe are all exclusive brands to Target. Here’s what to have on your radar:
Pixi by Petra launches Skincare
Before now, Pixi by Petra has dabbled in skincare, mainly less than a handful of mists and toners but is known for their massive beauty offerings. Even still, they have one of the most loyal following for their iconic Glow Tonic, which is a
Nothing excites me like the holidays; it’s the best time of the year to indulge in some serious shimmer and break out the festive reds! To celebrate the season, I’m partnering with Target to create a modern and classic beauty look that’s easy to recreate.
There isn’t anything more classic then a red lip for the holidays. Add in some beach waves for that perfect tousled hair and a winged black liner, and you have a timeless look.
To recreate the look, I started by applying e.l.f. Hydrating Face Primer, followed by Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous natural glow foundation to even out my skin tone. From there, I used the bronzers from the Pixi Contour Kit (bottom row; I mixed the two shades, but you can use one or the other depending on your skin tone) on my cheekbones, followed by the W3LL People Bio Brightener Stick for an added glow above the contour. I then applied the brightening powder from the Pixi Contour Kit (top row) to set the brightener and blend it with the bronzer. For a more intense highlight, stop after the Bio Brightener.
Hi my loves! For all of you regulars to the site, you know I haven’t been on my game when it comes to posting. My daily posts morphed into just a few a week, which I need to put an end to! Despite how it may seem, I have been doing everything but taking a break. In actuality, the blog has never been busier! I’ve been traveling so much and doing so many collaborations that by the time I finish the long hours my brain is too tried to write (I know, terrible excuse!). But you can always follow me at @prettyconnected on instagram for all of my latest adventures and event coverage and beauty discoveries. I’ve been back for a week now in NYC but I wanted to recap my 10 day trip to LA, since it was such an amazing experience. And I’ve been considering moving there for some time now!
I came out to LA for a shoot with Glam.com, sponsored by Carefree. We shot 3 videos: How to pack to pack for a weekend trip, How to get ready in 5 minutes in the morning, and How to organize your lingerie draw, and it was so fun! All of the tips in the videos are mine so I’ll be sharing those over the next few months as they launch. The shoot took play in Pasadena, which is a beautiful suburb of LA. In all of my 10+ times to Los Angeles, I’d never been to Pasadena (and it’s only about 15 minutes for Downtown).
With Christmas less than ten days away, we took the guesswork out of finishing those final gifts, all for under $50!
PixiEndless Silky Eye Pen Kit ($25) – Why it’s a great gift: These pencils glide on so easily and have a beautiful wet metallic finish. Easy to apply, this kit is a great value set and features 5 Pixi eye pencils (all in different colors) as well as a sharpener.
