Primark Launches in the US!

primark-boston-store

One of my favorite shopping discoveries while in Europe was Primark, an on trend clothing store (much like what you’d see from Forever21 and H&M) except dare I say it’s even cheaper!? The retailer recently launched in the US starting with Boston and as of last week is now in King of Prussia (more locations coming soon!). While I was home for the holiday I visiting their Boston location in Downtown Crossing, which was massive! They have an extensive women’s collection (clothes, pajamas, workout apparel, shoes accessories, beauty, plus-size, and beyond), as well as men’s, home, and even a holiday section to get your decorations on. What’s possibly more shocking then the assortment is the price. My entire outfit, jacket, jeans, top, sweater and shoes cost less than $101! primark-coat

Primark outfit details:

Jacket: Mono Check Faux Fur Collar Crombie Coat, $46

Top: Yellow and Blue Longline Check Shirt, $15

Sweater: Chunky Sweater, $16

Pants: Skinny Pencil Jeans, $5.78

Shoes: Tan Pointed Slim Platform Heel $18

Grand total spent, $100.78! And that’s with nothing being on sale. Ah-maz-ing! Check them out at primark.com

Art out in Laurel DeWitt

Laurel_Dewitt_gold_crown_gold_roses_dress

Whenever you see creativity on the runway you can’t help but stare or drool over every last detail. I’ve been a fan of Laurel DeWitt for some time, I mean come on she does metal apparel, how cool is that?. We cover her show every season and for Spring/Summer 2016 her collection did not disappoint. Her ever evolving-craft and attention to detail makes every piece a work of art. A romantic fantasy with regal jewel tones takes you to a modern day take on medieval fashion. As if the knights amour mixed with the Queens jewels and was reinvented for the 21st century. Laurel_dewitt_gold_flower_top_spring_2016_nyfw

Striking a distinct 1930s note taking colorful cue from Elsa Schiaparelli, Ms. DeWitt’s current collection débuts not only a deeply hued array of elegant separates — introducing shagreen, leather, and fabric lacing to her already complex repertoire — but also doses the collection with metal flowers, entirely hand-cut, hand-rolled, and hand-painted to create a stunning display of incredible appliqué work rivaled by few in its detail and labor. I’m completely obsessed with the gold flower pieces, especially this outfit above. It’s beyond amazing!

ED by Ellen DeGeneres takes over the world

Ellen DeGeneres is on a roll! Since recently launching her ED by Ellen clothing and home line, she has added some new partnerships to the mix! For starters we had the great honor of joining Ellen and wife Portia de Rossi for the launch of the ED home decor and ready-to-wear pop-up shop at Bergdorf Goodman! The event also celebrated the launch of her new book, Home.

Through Spring 2016, the Gap x ED collection and campaign will focus on empowering girls to feel pride for the very things that make them different, encouraging them to be exactly who they are. Talk about Girl Power!Screen Shot 2015-08-21 at 1.53.26 PM (700x526)

Furthering the empowerment message, social media plays a crucial role in the campaign. Using the hashtag #heyworld followed by a name, a girl’s friend, mother, father or mentor can issue a call to action for social messages of encouragement and love to any girl in need of positive support, cheering her on through the power of positive words.

The collection of clothing for girls, boy and a small assortment for adult launched globally in select Gap stores and gap.com.

Vera Bradley Gets a New Look for Fall

For me Vera Bradley is a very nostalgic brand. Their fun prints and travel bags take me back to my childhood with summers down the Cape and in Nantucket. Recently, I joined the brand at the top of the World Trade Center where they took over the observatory deck to showcase their new look for fall.

Hi loves! It’s been a go-go-go kind of week and I can’t wait to share all of the amazing launches happening over the next few months. (Stalk my instagram for a sneak peek). This weekend I’m headed to Governors Ball with Dove so there’s no better time to primp up! Although lets be honest, I never need an excuse to get glam.

Fortunately for the next two weekends, Topshop is partnering with Blo Blow Dry Bar, and Melt Bakery to host a Summer Concession Pop-Up at their 5th Avenue location. Come in for hair styling, a nail art bar, frozen treats and sip champagne while you shop!

Whether you’re one for tradition or not, Memorial Day unofficially marks the beginning of white season. Now the fashion industry and whole ‘winter whites’ rivals this whole theme that began sometime in the late 1800s/early 1900s (no one really knows). The connotation being that white was for leisure, while dark clothing was for working people. The shade would dominate through Labor Day when it was then a faux pas to wear white after. Or so the socialites of that time would have you think — not Coco Chanel, she famously wore white year round. Although we all know she was ahead of her time.

Coachella Diaries: Day 3 with Patricia Field

Day 3 (April 13th) could not have come with a better start. Glasses.com, the official eyewear sponsor of Coachella invited us to their VIP Glasses Half Full Coachella Party, which was like rehab for the soul. The space was so relaxing and beautiful, there was a live piano player and healthy bites from Fat Radish. Our fellow NYC pals, Vanity Projects we’re also at the event offering cool nail art and manicures. We lounged around the compound and visited the gifting suites from Sandro New York, Caeden headphones (which are a super cool design) and glasses.com. I found a pair of Rivet & Sway glasses that matched my hair perfectly and didn’t take them off the rest of the day (see pictured below).

Coachella, Coachella, Coachella! After months of planning we’re mere days away! This week it’s been all about the packing experience, which believe me has not been easy! I envy everyone that lives in LA and can drive their wardrobes to Palm Springs. It’s borderline embarrassing to roll up in an over-sized suitcase, plus carry-on luggage (especially since normally I’m a light packer and never check bags), but what can be done, it’s on this season!

Artsy Prints for Spring from Macy’s INC International Concepts

Now that the weather is getting nice, it’s time to break out the flirty dresses and punchy prints and have some serious fashion fun. Specifically for spring I’ve been updating my wardrobe with some key artsy prints like this long sleeve lip-print button down from INC International Concepts available only at Macy’s. It’s a great lightweight top and transitional piece from winter to spring as the temperatures are still unpredictable. It makes for an edgy statement piece on any outfit or a sweet accent underneath a classic v-neck sweater. Plus, It’s a good investment piece as it’s just as easy to pair with black shorts as black pants to prolong wear throughout the varying seasons.
