A collection to look forward to season after season is Honor. You can always count on designer Giovanna Randall to turn up the charm in the pretty department and the Spring 2014 collection was no different. Although the

She’s back! Modern Family’s Julie Bowen reunites with Neutrogena as the new face of the brand. While so many of these skincare brands seem to go younger, and younger in the spokesperson category, it’s so great to see Neutrogena tap the Emmy award winning actress and mom who previously was the face of the brand from 2001 to 2008 and will return in 2014 campaigns
“Julie embodies the ultimate NEUTROGENA® woman, and we are excited to have her return home. As a career women and busy mom, she empowers women to make healthy skin choices and is an inspiration to all,” says Michelle Freyre, General Manager, Neutrogena.
NYFW: Backstage at Rebecca Minkoff Spring 2014 Show with Stila, TRESemme + ESSIE
Backstage at Rebecca Minkoff, the hair was a gorgeous, effortless braided up-do that I’d like to start rocking now, paired with a bolder eye and palette of Navajo neutrals and fun patterned pink nails to finish off the look. Rebecca Minkoff’s inspiration for the Spring 2014 collection was taken from an old photo of Bianca Jagger traveling in Mexico and the beauty teams played off that idea when developing the looks.
NYFW: Concept Korea Spring/Summer 2014 Collection
Concept Korea is a global project that publicizes Korea’s fashion culture throughout the world of fashion and shows four different talented designers from Korea each season during New York Fashion Week. Presented at Lincoln Center, it’s like four fashion shows in one, as each designer/label, KAAL E.sukae, ChohBoko, beyond closet and Big Park showed off their unique look. In between each collection, the designer would tell a story through graphic visuals and blaring music to foreshadow their collection down the runway. We were lucky enough to sit front-row at this unique show.
KAAL E.sukae was the first collection to make its striking appearance down the runway. The collection paid homage to the ultimate classic: black and white. It consisted of a very clean and structural esthetic, staying true to the designer’s inspiration from the bible phrase, “The stone the builder rejected has become the corner stone.”
ChohBoko was the second in line to send garments down the runway. His collection reminded me of Vivienne Westwood punk days with exaggerated colors and patterns. I will say, though, the most memorable outfit was when the models came down the runway with a matching voodoo doll.
Beyond closet — This one is for the boys! The collection consisted of modern sports wear. His spring 2014 collection was inspired by the views of everyday men going to the gym and their transformation from a gaunt state to more muscular and masculine.
Big park: His collection focused solely on silhouette, shape, and pattern. With making a blush leather jacket and a black skater skirt it was easy to see how parts of his collection could be incorporated into your everyday wardrobe.
