ED by Ellen DeGeneres takes over the world

Ellen DeGeneres is on a roll! Since recently launching her ED by Ellen clothing and home line, she has added some new partnerships to the mix! For starters we had the great honor of joining Ellen and wife Portia de Rossi for the launch of the ED home decor and ready-to-wear pop-up shop at Bergdorf Goodman! The event also celebrated the launch of her new book, Home.

Through Spring 2016, the Gap x ED collection and campaign will focus on empowering girls to feel pride for the very things that make them different, encouraging them to be exactly who they are. Talk about Girl Power!Screen Shot 2015-08-21 at 1.53.26 PM (700x526)

Furthering the empowerment message, social media plays a crucial role in the campaign. Using the hashtag #heyworld followed by a name, a girl’s friend, mother, father or mentor can issue a call to action for social messages of encouragement and love to any girl in need of positive support, cheering her on through the power of positive words.

The collection of clothing for girls, boy and a small assortment for adult launched globally in select Gap stores and gap.com.

Katy Perry, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid Stun at Harper’s Bazaar Icons Event

Katy Perry performs at Harper's Bazaar Icons event Last night was something out of a dream. I joined COVERGIRL for the 2nd annual Harper’s Bazzar Icons event at the Plaza Hotel. Hosted by Carine Roitfeld and Jean-Paul Goude at the Plaza Hotel, the evening honored all of the icons featured in the September issue.

We then headed downstairs to the ballroom for the cocktail party which included an imaginative short video featuring a behind-the-scenes look at the Icon’s photoshoot.

Rumors before the party had circulated that Katy Perry would be performing at the event, which all proved to be true. Not only was she included in the spread, she’s also on the cover of the September issue.

It was an incredible performance and evening of fashion, music and epic beauty. I’ve literally never seen so many beautiful people in one room. I also could not stop starring at the beauty that is Kendall Jenner, Gigi and Bella Hadid. The next generation of icons were all in tow.

NYFW: Backstage Beauty look at Lela Rose S/S 2016 Collection

lela rose makeup by Romy Soleimani using Kevyn AucoinNo one does pretty quite like Lela Rose, and her S/S 2016 beauty looks are nothing short of stunning. Although the core of the look radiates sweetness, a little edge keeps it from going saccharine. Using all Kevyn Aucoin products, Romy Soleimani for beauty.com led the artistry team creating a dewey and natural look with an emphasis on the eye. A light pink, glossy lip and a healthy, glowing face sets the tone. But the statement is the tight black cat eye that brings a dose of sexiness to the runway. “It never goes out of style,” says Soleimani. “We’re doing quite a minimal cat eye, it’s a tight line on top and bottom.” The minimalism of the rest of the pallet emphasizes the cat eye further. The models wear no mascara, and no blush, just some light gloss on the lips and rose gold highlight on the cheeks.
