Choupette’s Diary: A Chic Guide to Father’s Day

Screen Shot 2014-06-06 at 3.54.21 PM

Gifts? Why yes I would love one! Gifting? Not my cup of tea. With Father’s Day only one week away, it got me thinking about the important things in life besides private jets and black cards; the love and support Daddy Karl Lagerfeld has shown me, opening his chateau to moi when I was just a mangy model’s muse. In celebration of Daddy, here is a list of his favorite things:

1. Diet Coke — A staple in any fashion diet.

2. Sketch Books — For when inspiration strikes or I strike a pose.

3. Klorane dry shampoo — He who has the whitest hair wins.

4. Galignani — And you wonder how Daddy’s library got so full…

5. iPhone(s) — Yes, plural.

6. Sunglasses — “They are like eyeshadow. They make everything look younger and prettier.”

7. Pencils — Perfect for sketches or batting around Daddy’s desk incessantly.

8. Gloves – Preferably fingerless.

9. A Classic Fuji camera

10. Sweatpants — Non! Just kidding, Daddy!

Choupette’s Diary: A Chic Guide to Etiquette

Pinky up (unless you’re a feline)! Elbows off the table! Sit up straight! These are all rules for proper etiquette taught to the most elite of femmes and gentlemen. Without them, humans are lowered to mere animals. *Note: Felines are not included in the un-poised animal category.

According to Daddy Karl Lagerfeld, “life isn’t a beauty contest” but I beg to differ. How you present yourself is the foundation for how you are perceived.

Choupette Lagerfeld Grazia

I didn’t start my career as an IMG model covering magazine’s like Grazia and contrary to popular belief, it wasn’t my famous Daddy who got me the gig either. Climbing the corporate ladder is difficult enough for mere mortals but try ascending the fashion industry in HEELS!

Choupette’s Diary: A Chic Guide to Valentine’s Day

Give the Gift of Chanel

Happy Valentine’s Day or as I call it, “Spoil Choupette and Tell Her How Glamorous She is Day”. You can call it Valentine’s Day for short though. As a feline, I am the prime example of the aloof French woman who is care-free and

FrontRowEverybody is a somebody. Whether you’re a blogger, a publicist, an editor, a “celebrity”, or a street style poser, there is a sense of entitlement that comes with New York Fashion Week. Unless you’re a Vogue editrix or your Daddy is Karl Lagerfeld, I suggest

Choupette’s Diary: A Chic Guide to Dressing

In the city of lights and the mecca of fashion, there is one rule that trumps all: quality over quantity. Unlike “Americans” (yes, I use quotations to emphasize my detest for their clothing choices), Parisians are willing to spend an extra franc on a Chanel bag rather than take a rat-infested subway to Canal Street.

When women think of French fashion, they often allude to Mommy Coco Chanel and while she perfected the LBD, we must pay tribute to other Parisian women who have perfected the Je Ne Sais Coiffe:
