For this weeks #WellnessWednesday post, I want to spotlight two awesome brands doing amazing things and making our world a better place. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of partnering with The Giving Keys and State Bags for their Spread the Love Initiative and a day of pampering for the women of Project Renewal.
Project Renewal works to end the cycle of homelessness by empowering at-risk New Yorkers to renew their lives with health, homes and jobs. The ladies in the house enjoyed a day of pampering complete with hair, makeovers and manicures. The DJ had the whole room dancing and the theme of the event was Shine, which definitely shined through with all of the joy that filled the air.
Hosted at the Pine Street School in downtown NYC, they had 75 women in attendance for this Valentine’s Day party and each woman was gifted a State Bags filled with a custom SHINE Giving Key necklace.
I really enjoyed partnering with both brands, State Bags has gorgeous backpacks that are sporty and unisex and with every bag sold they hand-deliver a backpack to a child in need packed with essential tools for success.
The Giving Keys employs individuals transitioning out of homelessness in Los Angeles to make jewelry with inspiring sayings on them out of repurposed keys.
They both make great gifts and do amazing give back work so definitely check them out! This event reminded me of the beauty events I’ve hosted in the city for women in shelters with Share Your Beauty. I’m so happy to see more brands taking this initiative and inspiring such a joy in our community.
