4 Hair + Travel Tools I Can’t Live Without

Summer calls for exploring and I couldn’t travel without a few beauty essentials. Out of dozens of contenders, these four tools outperformed the rest and have quickly become a staple on my packing list.

simplehuman Tru-Lux Sensor Lighted Vanity Mirror – Let’s be honest, hotel bathrooms aren’t exactly known for their make-up lighting. Not wanting to leave the room with the wrong shade of foundation, the Simple Human sensor mirror is a must-have. Its tru-lux light system simulated natural sunlight so you’ll know when your makeup is color-correct and flawless with 10x magnification. The mirror lights up automatically as your face approaches and unlike traditional makeup vanity mirrors, it’s cordless and easily recharges with the included USB cord and adapter, and one charge lasts up to 5 weeks. With long-lasting LEDs, the mirror won’t burn out or diminish over time. No changing lightbulbs or the fear of burn-out during travel. Plus it folds flat so it’s easy to pack and props up for total comfort. This is also great for anyone who struggles with their vision to pluck their eyebrows — I guarantee (like it or not) you’ll see everything through this beauty.

Ultra Chi 1″ Iron – Humidity meet your match! The Ultra Chic ceramic flat iron turns frizzy hair into glossy, sleek locks, without pulling hair out or damaging it (just use a heat protectant). The lightweight tool heats up evenly in seconds, making quick touch-ups a breeze and the even distribution smooths roughed-up cuticles for extra shine. Plus it’s lightweight and comes in a variety of fun colors and prints!

KISS Handle-less 2200 Ceramic Tourmaline Hair Dryer – The last thing you want to try to fit into your carry-on is a bulky hair dryer. KISS’ solution?  A handle-less dryer with equipped with 3 attachments for brushing and straightening while drying. It adds volume and makes drying your hair so simple! I recommend it for anyone with thin hair that struggles to dry their hair. Easy to maneuver AND easy to pack (and only $30!): a win, win,

KISS Instawave Automatic Curler – Curling your hair has never been so easy then with the KISS rotating curling iron. Unlike traditional curling irons, the innovative design lets you curl from any position using either hand with the click of a button. With a “Curl Dial” you can switch between left and right curl directions, which means for those of us lacking in the hair stylist department salon-quality, long-lasting curls are finally possible. With two settings (I go high) it heats up to perfection to secure a solid curl. If you ave the rotations down you can also use it as a wand and roll the curl yourself. This curler is the best but it’s not the most durable so keep your receipt — the top fell off (not that you need it) and mine started making a weird buzzing noise — fortunately none of these hider the performance which is otherwise perfect.
